February Moon

The moon of February is traditionally has several names, depending on the traditional lands where people lived. It's been known as the Bear Moon (because bear cubs are born in February), the Eagle Moon (a time to focus on love). the Hunger Moon (a time when food was short) and the Rest and Cleansing Moon.

At IFC, we celebrate the Rest and Cleansing Moon, and learn from the teachings associated with it. This month we will be asking the following questions: What does it mean to rest? What does it mean to cleanse ourselves? How can we be purified as we seek the will of our Creator?
